It all started when…

Gloria Araya is an International Dance Movement Presenter, and Speaker. She is a passionate supporter of the arts and education, human rights and the environment.
Using dance and music as her tools for inspiration, Gloria has traveled the world sharing her unique style of dance and movement philosophy. Nominated for Best Presenter in Switzerland, Gloria has taught in Europe, Asia, The Caribbean, Central and South America and she has also been recognized in her hometown as Best of Chicago by Chicago Magazine. Gloria's creativity and love for teaching has been the source of inspiration to those who experience her classes, workshops, and presentations. Currently, Gloria teaches at the East Bank Club, one of the premier health clubs in the nation and at the Woman’s Athletic Club in Chicago. She also holds a private practice training and coaching clients interested in personal development or seeking support with their neurological issues such as Parkinson’s and MS. She is Co-Founder of Go! Tango P.D. a tango dance movement initiative designed to improve the quality of life of people living with Parkinson’s Disease.

Gloria is a constant advocate for living a healthier lifestyle. She was honored, twice, by the Chicago | Midwest Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Science for her contribution to the Emmy Award Winner for Outstanding Achievement on Informational Programming: Diabetes, Guía para Hispano- Americanos and Salud Emocional, Guía para los Hispano-Americanos.

Gloria has a particular interest in the mind, and how it may influence human behavior, emotions, learning, and the expression of the Self. For seven years, Gloria served as the Associate Director of The Foundation for Human Potential, a not-for-profit organization that facilitates educational forums exploring many aspects of creativity, human achievement, and learning as they relate to the brain and its function. Today, she sits at the board of Directors of the organization. She has also worked as a consultant for CASEL, Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, the nation’s leading organization advancing the development of academic, social and emotional competence for all students.

Motivated by her diverse interests, Gloria founded Ayun Movement, a conscious business that offers nurturing movement-based experiences to inspire individuals to lead with authenticity, influence with integrity, and affect change with humility and courage and Traffic Stops Where Love Begins, a not for profit organization created to raise awareness on the issue of Modern-Day Slavery, Human Trafficking and how to put an End to it.
